For the second time in program history, both the Varsity Boys and Girls soccer teams advance to the quarterfinal round of the 5A state playoffs. The Girls were victorious on the road with a 1-0 shutout against Eagles Landing on Tuesday night. A first half goal by senior Captain, Lily Soto, helped lead Grady to the victory. The #7 state ranked Girls are back in action on Friday when they take on #4th ranked McIntosh at Grady at 6pm.

The boys ended Dutchtown High School’s playoff run with a decisive 3-0 win on the road Wednesday night. Grady wasted no time taking the lead. After several chances, Senior captain, Christian Briggs, put Grady on the scoreboard with a penalty kick called after a handball in the box. Grady kept the pressure on and goals by Juniors Alex Durham and Cory Dillard helped clinch the win. The boys will travel to Rome on Saturday night to take on Rome High School.

Congratulations to our Grady Knights!
