Knights News · GHSA Provides Updates Amid Extended School Closures

As of April 1, there have not been any final decisions made on the status of Georgia High School Athletics going forward, but for the most current thinking from GHSA please click on the link below for a letter from Executive Director Robin Hines.

GHSA April 2020 Letter

In keeping with the closure of Atlanta Public Schools and in accordance with the guidance of the Georgia High School Association, all sports activities continue to be postponed due to COVID-19 concerns. All Grady High School Athletics activities are suspended and all of its facilities are closed until further notice.

The latest information from Atlanta Public Schools indicates that APS “will remain closed at least through April 24 and possibly beyond.” There will be no practices, games, meetings, outside facilities rentals, or other activities related to Athletics during this time.

Additional new information and updates will be communicated as soon as they become available. Grady Athletics is committed to the safety of our student-athletes while providing the best opportunities to fulfill their athletic and academic goals, so we will make the best of this situation as the larger scope of the impact on the rest of the year develops.

Go Knights!
