Girls Varsity Sideline Cheer · Smolko Hired as Head Cheer Coach

The Grady Athletic Department is excited to announce the hiring of Lexy Smolko as Head Varsity Cheer Coach, effective immediately.

Coach Smolko comes to Grady after serving since 2016 as a cheer coach at Allatoona High School, one of the top 20 cheer programs in the state. In addition to leading the cheerleading program at Grady, she will also teach English full-time at the school. A native of Chicago, Smolko earned her degree in Secondary Education (English, Honors) from Kennesaw State University in 2016.

“Grady really appeals to me because it’s a high-performing, inner-city school with diversity that cannot be beat,” said Coach Smolko. “I am very excited to be a part of this faculty and the new head cheerleading coach. Go Knights!”
