Season: The team is open to Grady 9-12 grade students (Boys and Girls). Practices will begin in early February, 2021 and run through the end of April, 2021. If possible, an Interest Meeting will be held at Grady High School in the Fall of 2020 for prospective players.
Requirements: Forms required for participation include:
-APS Physical Form
-Copy of your insurance card
-Concussion Awareness Form
-Sudden Cardiac Arrest Form
-Transportation Permission & Release Liability Form
These forms can be accessed on the Grady Athletics Website under the “More” tab. Please complete all forms and submit them to Athletic Director Patrick Johnson.
Practices: The team practices 3-4 days each week from roughly 4:15 – 6:45. Most practices are held at area courses such as Browns Mill GC, John White GC, Charlie Yates Golf Course, Heritage GC, and Stone Mountain GC. Players are responsible for their own equipment and transportation to and from practices. A carpool system will be set up to help with transportation.
Tournaments: The Boys Team will participate in approximately 10 tournaments during the season. Most tournaments are weekday 9-hole tournaments, but there will be 3, 18-Hole Invitationals on Saturdays. The top 4-8 players will play, depending on the size and format of the tournament. The Girls team will participate in approximately 5-8 tournaments during the season, most of which will be 9-Hole tournaments.
Cost: The anticipated cost for the season is $100. This will cover uniforms, practice fees and 9-hole tournaments.
