Boys Varsity Football · Football Opens Season Tonight

The Varsity Football team opens its season tonight (7:30pm) vs. Fayette County at Grady Stadium. Per district policy, spectators will not be allowed in attendance but fans can still watch a livestream of the game online at either https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/ or https://score-sports.com/high-school/.

The Knights head into the 2020 season with their sights set on building off of last year’s progress and achieving new levels of success for the Class of 2021. “This senior group talks about having two goals constantly; making the playoffs and having a winning record,” said head coach Kevin Clark. “Our biggest challenge will be staying healthy, but if we remain healthy then we will have a shot at being successful.”

The team will rely on a strong senior group led by linebacker and h-back Rutledge Patrick, wide receiver and cornerback Marvin Wiley, defensive end Amari Little, offensive guard Nasir Lomax, and running back Jordan Jones. They will be tested early and often by a strong Region 6AAAAA schedule featuring new members Chapel Hill, New Manchester, and Villa Rica along with returning schools Maynard Jackson, Lithia Springs, and North Springs.
